Clarks United Methodist Church

We are located in the Baltimore-Washington Conference which is made up of about 200,000 members in nearly 700 United Methodist churches.  Methodism was founded in America in Baltimore in 1784.  As the birthplace of the denomination, this region has been a leader within the denomination, known for its unique mixture of spiritual devotion and social action.  As United Methodists, our calling is to make and engage disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

At Clarks, we fulfill our calling through our active ministries and outreach to the community.  Reaching beyond the walls of the sanctuary and providing for the needs of all of God's children.

On Sunday morning, we gather and encourage others to join us for a traditional worship service filled with testimonies of God's goodness, great music, and spiritual teaching.  At Clarks United Methodist church we worship God through song, through dance and the spoken word.  Come, worship with us!

WHAT WE BELIEVE

John Wesley and the early Methodists placed primary emphasis on Christian living, on putting faith and love into action. This emphasis on what Wesley referred to as "practical divinity" has continued to be a hallmark of United Methodism today.

SAFE SANCTUARIES

Safe Sanctuaries is an overt expression in making congregations safe places where children, youth and elders may experience the abiding love of God and fellowship within the community of faith.  We use the FBI registry to ensure safety of our young people.
